What's New On My Bookshelf #1

Hi Guys!
Sorry for the big gap between posting - it's Australian School Holidays so I've been busy busy busy!
I've been doing a different kind of reading for the past couple days - map reading!
My family and I have been traveling in NSW, in particular the Gold Coast and Byron Bay (which was so lovely) as well as some small towns along the way.
So, while discovering some delightful parts of Australia, I've bought a couple of books that I want to share with you all! These are books that have been on my 'Must Read' list for SO LONG, frankly it's about time I bought these.
*side note: I'll be doing a lot of these new book posts because I buy so many books it's ridiculous*
1. An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
Colin Singleton, anagram-obsessed, 'washed-up' prodigy, will only date girls named Katherine. He's dated nineteen Katherines...and has been dumped by all nineteen. So, accompanied by his plump, Judge Judy fan, he sets off on a road trip to prove the Theorem of Underlying Katherine Probability to predict the future of all relationships, assist all Dumpees and hopefully, win the girl.
*literally just started this - about halfway through and cannot wait to review this!!*
2. Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
Nora Grey has never been attached to any boys at her school, and romance has never been a part of her plan, no matter how hard her best friend throws them at her.
But, when Patch came along, Nora feels drawn to him. With his sly and easy smile, he seems to look inside her.
However, after some horrifying encounters, Nora
doesn't know who to trust. Patch seems to know everything about her - more than even her closest friends would know and he seems to be everywhere she is. When she tries to uncover the truth, she gets close to discoveries more unsettling than the way Patch makes her feel.

Because...she is stuck in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen from above...
she just doesn't know it.
3. The Help by Kathryn Stockett
"Three ordinary women are about to take one extraordinary step"
Aibileen is a wise black maid that is raising her seventeenth child. Something inside of her has shifted since the death of her beloved son - who died while his bosses looked the other way. She loves the child dearly, but because they live in Jackson, Mississippi in 1962, both their hearts may break.
Miss Skeeter has just graduated and returned home to Mississippi. Yet, despite her education, her mother will only be satisfied when she has a ring on her finger. Hearing about the troubles many black people face in her town troubles her terribly - but is there anything she can do about it? She would normally find solace in her maid, Constantine, but she has disappeared...and no one will tell Skeeter what happened.
Minny, Aibileen's best friend, is a short and fat black maid, with a sharp tongue. She can't control her sass, so she's lost yet another job. She is finally employed by a strange woman, with secrets of her own.
These three women seem so different, yet they are brought together by the prejudice present in their seemingly pleasant town - which is actually shrouded by racism.
*just finished this - so incredible!! Will be reviewing this soon I promise*
So, even though I've read one and a half of the three books, I just wanted to keep everyone up to date with my latest buys, and to help you guys find books that May interest you!!
Please comment/subscribe! Maybe tell me if you've read these books and what you think - as well as some of your new book buys??
